Gardaí appeal for information following suspicious deaths of Mayo brothers

Gardaí are appealing for information following the suspicious deaths of two brothers in Co Mayo.
The bodies of the two men - aged 68 and 70 - were found at their house on New Antrim Street in Castlebar shortly before 7.30am this morning.
It is believed the men suffered violent deaths during a botched robbery.
A team from the Garda Technical Bureau - and the State Pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy - remain at the scene.
The Taoiseach Enda Kenny - who knew they men - is describing their deaths as an act of savagery.
"Gardaí found one man in the bedroom of the house with obvious visible injuries, and a second man in the backyard of this house with visible injuries," said superintendent David Taylor from the Garda Press Office.
"Following this examination by Dr Cassidy the bodies will be removed to Mayo general hospital
"The results of the post mortem will focus gardaí on the direction and nature of this investigation."
