Irish workers in high demand in New Zealand

Irish workers are in high demand by companies in New Zealand.

WorkingIn - a New Zealand based recruitment agency - is holding a jobs fair in Dublin today and employers are looking for a broad range of skill sets.

Construction and engineering professionals are still in high demand as the country works to rebuild Christchurch following the massive earthquake in February 2011.

Haley Roberts, CEO of Working In explains why they are hunting for Irish workers

"These companies they sit there scratching their heads wanting skills," she said.

"New Zealand is an empty country it has got four million people, and it is growing it needs to build infrastructure

"They are advertising all the time in the press and online there and they can't get people they know there is a higher unemployment rate in Dublin and they know they are good employees."
