The funerals of Jolanta Lubiene and her 8 year old daughter Enrika take place in Lithuania today.
The mother and daughter, who were found dead at their home in Killorglin Co Kerry on June 16, will be buried near the village where Ms Lubiene grew up later today.
A 26 year old Lithuanian man has been charged with their murder.
Anne Cahill, European Correspondent with the Irish Examiner is in Lithuania, and said Jolanta had been planning their move home when she was murdered.
"She had lots of boxes packed, ready for delivering, and she was just beginning to organise her clothes for the two of them.
"They were going to go to Sweden to her husband - because he's working there for the last few months - for two to three weeks' holidays and then they were coming back to this beautiful little village that they live in in Lithuania."
