SIPTU drivers at Dublin Bus set to ballot for strike action

SIPTU drivers at Dublin Bus are to be balloted for strike action.

It comes after they overwhelmingly rejected LRC backed proposals which would have seen their pay cut and their conditions of employment reduced.

The ballot of SIPTU's 12,000 drivers is expected to be complete by the end of next week, however a union spokesperson said that they are prepared to engage in 'construction negotiations' with Dublin Bus management.
