Taoiseach to highlight Ireland's achievements to European Parliament

The Taoiseach Enda Kenny will today outline the achievements of Ireland's presidency of the European Council.

Mr Kenny will address the European Parliament today in Strasbourg.

The debate with MEP's will also focus on the agreement negotiated by the Irish Presidency on the Multi-annual Financial Framework, the EU's €960bn investment programme for the next six years.

It comes ahead of the vote by the Parliament on the financial framework tomorrow.
