Elderly robber foiled by walking frame

An elderly robber was arrested because he was too slow putting his walking frame away.

The 64-year-old guy was arrested by police at Geelong, near Melbourne, Australia, after taking too long to flee the scene after robbing a 22-year-old woman at knife-point in a car park.

He was also delayed by having to pack a number of bags into the vehicle.

Senior Constable Paul Mitchell told the Geelong Advertiser the incident was the "most bizarre" he has ever witnessed as a police officer.

The unnamed man allegedly held a knife to the woman's throat and demanded she hand over the car, he then drove the motor a short distance before stopping to fill it up with goods.
