Minister: We can’t keep kicking the can down the road

Social Protection Minister Joan Burton has defended the new code of conduct on mortgage arrears which could see borrowers lose their tracker mortgages.

The new code from the Central Bank will allow for a shorter moratorium on repossessions and more contact from lenders.
