Norris discharges himself from hospital to attend Seanad debate

Senator David Norris says he has discharged himself from St. Vincent's Hospital with the agreement of his medical team.

He has done so with the specific intention of taking part in today's historic debate on the abolition of the Senate.

Senator Norris is currently being treated for cancer.

He is due to speak at around 1.30pm this afternoon.
