Customs officers at Dublin Port have seized more than €80,000 after they stopped and searched a man attempting to board a ferry to Holyhead.

Customs officers at Dublin Port have seized more than €80,000 after they stopped and searched a man attempting to board a ferry to Holyhead.

The cash, which Revenue suspect is the proceeds of crime, was discovered by Holly the Customs sniffer dog after it had been concealed in a truck.

Dublin District Court this morning granted customs an order permitting them to hold onto the cash for three months while their investigation is ongoing.
