Charity boss calls for continued support to Haiti
A children's charity boss is calling on Irish people to continue making donations to Haiti.
Irish woman Gena Heraty runs a care home for children with special needs in the capital Port Au Prince.
She has been working there since she left her native Mayo 20 years ago and now she is asking for €1 for each of her years in Haiti to be donated to the charity.
The money raised will go directly towards the children Gena helps, many of whom she said have been given up by their parents.
