JFK's daughter to light 'Emigrants' Flame' in Wexford
Caroline Kennedy, daughter of the late US Presient John F Kennedy, visited Wexford this evening to light the "Emigrants' Flame" in tribute to all those who have left the country.
The flame has been taken from the graveside of President Kennedy at Arlington cemetery in the US to mark the 50th anniversary of JFK's visit to Ireland in 1963.
In the last hour, the flame arrived at the quayside in New Ross, where it will be used to light the "Emigrants' Flame" in front of a large crowd.

Earlier this afternoon, Taoiseach Enda Kenny officially opened a new visitor centre at the ancestral home of John F Kennedy in Dunganstown, New Ross.
Junior Minister Brian Hayes said JFK's visit is remembered by all Irish people and represents the warm connection between Ireland and the Kennedy family.
