Possible post delays after suspect package found in Portlaoise sorting office
An Post is warning there could be delivery delays, after a suspect device was found at one of its main sorting centres.
The Mails Centre and National Parcel Hub in Portlaoise was evacuated this afternoon, after customs staff based at the centre discovered a suspect item in a package.
The Army Bomb Disposal Squad have been called in to deal with the package.
An Post is arranging to divert letter and parcel mail due for processing in the affected centre to alternative hubs.
