Two arrested after drugs seizure in Galway

Two men have been arrested in Galway after a major drugs seizure in the county.

Herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of €400,000 was found during a search of a house in Tuam this afternoon.

The men who are both in their 40s are being detained at Galway Garda Station where they can be held for up to seven days.

The investigation involving members of the Garda National Drugs Unit, Revenue Customs Service, Galway and Mayo Divisional Drugs Unit is ongoing.
