Downloading music and films for free looks set to get a lot tougher - after the High Court granted an injunction requiring UPC and other internet service providers to block Pirate Bay.

The popular website sees users share music, films and tv shows for free and download them illegally.

Up until now many Irish ISPs allowed their broadband customers use the site.

Today's court decision means UPC, Vodafone, O2, Imagine, Digiweb and Three will have 30 days to block Pirate Bay and its affiliates.
