Numbers on the dole stay at 13.7%
The number of people on the Live Register remains unchanged for May, according to new figures released by the Central Statistics Office.
The statistics show the number of people signing on stands at 13.7%, or 426,100, for May, no change in comparison to April's figures.
When compared to the numbers for the same period last year, there was a drop of 2.6%, or more than 11,000 people on the Live Register.
The figures also show a yearly rise in the number of women signing on which is up by 672, while the number of men claiming benefits has dropped by nearly 12,000.
