FF and FG on level pegging in latest opinion poll
A new opinion poll shows a rise in support for Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil with both parties on 27%.
The Millward Brown survey to be published in tomorrow's Sunday Independent also shows a small slip in support for the Labour Party.
The poll standings of Sinn Fein and Independents and Others are also down to 17% each, while the level of undecided voters remains high at 33%.
When 'don’t knows' are excluded, Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil are on level pegging amongst the electorate.
The main government party has reclaimed some lost ground and is up 4% to 27% compared to the last such survey in early May, while Fianna Fáil records a one-point rise, also to 27%.
Labour is down 1% to 11%.
The poll shows been a two-point drop for Sinn Fein to 17% - while Independents and Others also hold 17% support - a fall of 1%.
The poll says 74% of people are dissatisfied with how the Government is running the country, with just 18% satisfied.
Some 65% per cent of people are dissatisfied with the Taoiseach Enda Kenny's leadership, while dissatisfaction in Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore is at 70%.
Some 53% are not satisfied with Fianna Fáil's Míchael Martin, with Sinn Féin leader Gerry Adams on a 56% dissatisfaction rating.
