Water safety encouraged ahead of bank holiday

Water safety has been highlighted ahead of this bank holiday weekend.
The warning comes as one man remains in hospital after he was rescued from the sea along with two others on Wednesday off the west coast of Cork.
The men - who were not wearing life jackets - got into trouble after their dinghy capsized between Audley Cove and Horse Island.
The RNLI has praised a local man who went to help the men while they were waiting on the lifeboat.

"I came upon one guy in the water he seemed a bit exhausted, and I could see the other two heads out further,"
"I tried to get him on the kataye but it tipped over
"So then I asked him to hold on to the back of it and I would try and pull him to shore
"But then I had the dilemma do I pull him to shore first or do I go out and see if the other guys are ok
"But the shore seemed closer so I thought I would get him shore and go back out for the other two
