Trinity to create more jobs at new clinical research centre

It is expected at least 10 new additional jobs will be created in Dublin this year with the opening of the new clinical research facility.

The €7m, state-of-the-art centre will involve research in medicine, nursing, pharmacy, physiotherapy and psychology at Trinity College and its collaborating institutions.

The patient-based research will include experimental medical studies and clinical trials.

The Taoiseach Enda Kenny and the Health Minister Dr James Reilly will officially open the centre today.

Director of the Clinical Research Facility at St James's Hospital, Professor Michael Gill said several appointments for jobs at the centre have already been filled, but he said there will be further recruitment at the centre.
