Use of cameras threatened to stop dumping of nappies in Kerry

Residents of Farranfore in Co. Kerry have threatened to use cameras in a bid to catch someone dumping dirty nappies in the village.

Mike Moriarty from the Tidy Towns committee believes the nappies, which are appearing at Scart Cross, are being thrown from the culprit's car.

The nappies are appearing between four and five times a week.

Mike Moriarty has issued a warning to whoever is responsible:

"We're getting so tired of this it's a warning to the person that is doing it," he said

"We are actually going mounting a camera there on the first week of June if this thing continues

"And by God we are going to make an example of them."
