Group to present Minister with findings on special educational needs
The National Council for Special Education will present new policy advice to the Minister for Education and Skills, Ruairi Quinn, today on special educational needs in Irish schools.
It comes after the completion of a comprehensive strategic review of special education in Ireland for the first time in 20 years.
The NCSE study took place over a five-year period and includes the views of various professionals, advocacy groups and parents.
The report, which will be presented to Mr Quinn later this morning, will highlight the changes that need to be implemented to best support those with special educational needs in Irish schools.
