An animal rights charity is offering a €5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for a horrific attack on a horse in Dublin.

ARAN, the animal rights charity, is offering a €5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for a horrific attack on a horse in Dublin.

The horse was found mutilated in Darndale Park.

The group is also contacting local schools in the area with offers of having group representatives in to talk about cruelty to animals and the problems associated with it.

Anyone with information about this case is encouraged to contact the local gardaí.

ARAN is also urging residents not to leave animals outside unattended.
