Tipperary Gardaí confirm identity of body found in slurry tank

Gardaí have confirmed that the body of a man found in a slurry tank in County Tipperary last month is that of missing local man Bobby Ryan.

The 52-year-old had been missing since June 2011 and was not found despite numerous searches and appeals.

His remains were discovered two weeks ago to the rear of a house in Fawnagown.

Gardaí at Tipperary town said no further details will be released at this time for operational reasons.
