Cork gardaí prepare DPP file after second major drugs find
Gardaí in Cork are to prepare a file for the DPP after arresting and questioning a man about a €70,000 drugs seizure in the city.
Officers from the Cork City Divisional Drugs Squad arrested the 33-year-old man when they searched a house in Mahon on Cork's southside, finding a kilogramme of cocaine.
The man was arrested at around 10pm on Friday and released without charge yesterday evening.
It is the second significant drug seizure in Cork over the Bank Holiday weekend period and follows the discovery of €20,000 worth of cannabis herb by gardaí, also on Friday night.
