Study reveals list of workplace annoyances
Management speak and buzz words are some of our biggest bugbears in the office.
Phrases like "Flag up", "It's on my radar" and "thinking outside the box" are what people find most irritating.
Charles Elvin from the Institute of Leadership and Management said many find "management speak" annoying.
He said: "'Thinking outside of the box', which nobody is really sure of what it means, is used too many times.
"Then 'going forward' as a phrase is somehow going backwards, and then finally 'let's touch base'."
However, it is not just the boss who winds us up.
The study has found colleagues arriving late for a meeting is the issue that gets on our nerves the most.
Dirty plates, gossip and 'all-staff' emails look like they are other things that drive us mad in the workplace.
Occupational Psychologist Honey Langcaster-James said we can annoy our colleagues just as easily.
She said: "Food etiquette, certainly eating across the table from somebody in a bad way or taking someone's milk from the fridge.
"The other thing is email etiquette as well, sending those all-staff emails on issues that don't really need to go round to everybody."
