Study claims high success rate for JobBridge scheme

It is claimed that three out of five of those taking part in the Government's internship programme are securing employment.

A study of the JobBridge scheme by Indecon consultants puts the progression rate at 61%, way ahead of the European average for such schemes at 34%.

However, the report raised some concerns about job displacement saying that some interns felt they were taken advantage of.

There is also a call for the Government to allow non-graduates participate in the scheme.
