Kerry golf club workers head to Labour Court to save jobs

A group of 21 workers are heading to the Labour Court today to try to save their jobs at Killarney Golf Club in Co Kerry.

The staff are fighting a decision to proceed with redundancy, despite an ongoing legal battle to try and save their jobs.

SIPTU's Services Sector Organiser Denis Hynes said the company is imposing the job losses, without having negotiated properly with the workers.

He said they had agreed to pay cuts and were willing to do more to help the club's finances.
