The body of a teenage girl has been recovered from the River Shannon.

The body of a teenage girl has been recovered from the River Shannon.

She was seen in the water near Sir Harry's Mall in Limerick City at around midday.

Her body has since been recovered by members of the Limerick Marine Search and Rescue Service.

Three women and a man have lost their lives on the river in Limerick in the past fortnight.

Gardaí say there was no foul play involved.
