Man dies, two injured, in van's collision with car in Dublin

A man has died following a crash in Dublin overnight.

The man, who was in his 40s, was killed when the van in which he was a passenger in, collided with a car on the Rathbeale Road, in Swords at around 2.30am.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the van and a second passenger, both aged in their 20s, were taken to Beaumont Hospital where their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

The driver of the car was uninjured.

The scene of the collision has been sealed off for a technical examination and diversions are in place.
