Reports: Garda Donohue murder suspect flees to US

It is widely reported today that the chief suspect in the murder of Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe has fled to the US.

Papers say the man in his 20s from South Armagh is living there illegally.

Detective Donohoe was shot dead during a botched raid on a Credit Union in County Louth back in January.

It is understood Gardaí believe the suspect is one of five gang members who took part in the robbery.
