Multi-million-euro drug cases due for court

A man and woman are due in court this morning charged in connection with a €1.5m drugs seizure in Co Meath.

A 53-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman are due before Ardee District Court this morning.

They were arrested after officers from the Garda Drugs Unit raided a business premises in Kells on Friday and found cannabis plants.

Elsewhere, two men remain in custody this morning in connection with a cannabis seizure in Tuam Co Galway on Saturday.

Around €2.5m worth of cannabis plants were discovered by gardaí at a business premises in the town.

Two other men, who were also arrested in connection with this find, were yesterday charged at Galway District Court.
