Man appears in Dublin court in connection with aggravated burglary

A man has appeared at the Dublin District Court court over an aggravated burglary in the capital.

31-year-old Alex Harris from Ballybough was arrested following the incident which took place yesterday afternoon.

An 80-year-old man and his daughter, who arrived at the home in Artane during the burglary, were both assaulted during the raid.

A man and a woman had broken in and demanded cash, before the assaults took place.

Mr Harris has been remanded in custody to appear before Cloverhill District Court again next week.
