Gardaí probe hammer attack on elderly man, daughter

Gardaí are investigating an aggravated burglary in north Dublin, in which an elderly man was attacked with a hammer.

A man and a woman broke into the house of an 80-year-old man in Artane around 12.30 this afternoon, and demanded cash, and then assaulted him.
