NAMA appoints receivers to Point Village and Bord Gáis Energy Theatre

NAMA has taken control of the Point Village and the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre.

It has appointed receivers after it ran up debts of about €450m.

It is expected the developments controlled by Harry Crosbie will be put on the market in the coming months.

"Harry Crosbie has said for some time that he has a constructive working relationship with NAMA," said business editor of the Sunday Business Post Ian Kehoe.

"Obviously it turns out that isn't the case

"NAMA have clearly decided that they can't work with Harry Crosbie in relation to this asset and the best way to get money back…. is to appoint receivers and seize control of the assets."
