Adams: SF would have to consider coalition with Fianna Fáil

Sinn Féin president Gerry Adams has said that he is personally against a coalition with Fianna Fáil, but admitted that the party may have to consider it.

"Of course we would consider from all angles whatever would advance our project," he said.

Day two of the party's Ard Fheis will see discussions on the economy, education, health and abortion.

Mr Adams will deliver his keynote address to the Sinn Féin Ard Fheis in Castlebar tonight.

Today the party will discuss motions on abortion and the economy after last night again re-iterating their opposition to the local property tax, which they have again promised to abolish if they get into government.

Last night, the Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness appealed to unionists to stop pretending they are not working in government and the institutions of the Good Friday Agreement.
