A 32-year-old man has been charged in connection with a drugs seizure with an estimated value of over €500,000.

Garry Anderson of Cherry Orchard Avenue in Ballyfermot appeared before Dublin District Court this morning where he was granted bail and ordered to appear again at the end of the month.

The 32 year old was arrested yesterday when Gardaí from the Ballyfermot Drugs Unit searched a house in Cherry Orchard and discovered €570,000 worth of cannabis resin.

Mr Anderson was granted bail this morning on condition he surrender his travel identification documents and that he sign on three times a week at Ballyfermot Garda Station.
