Search continues for miner's body

Efforts are resuming this morning to recover the body of a man who was killed in a mining accident in Co Tipperary.

Mario Francis, a married father of two from the Philippines, was driving a loader when it became trapped in a shaft after a rock fall at Lisheen lead and zinc mine near Thurles on Thursday evening.

While the cause of the collapse is not yet known, it is expected three separate investigations into the incident will be launched in the coming days.
