The Army Bomb Disposal Team has made safe a viable improvised explosive in Dublin.

The device was found near the Hollystown roundabout, on the Cappagh Road in Finglas, at around 11.45pm last night.

The area was sealed off for a time and the device has now been removed for further examination.

This incident brings to 67 the total amount of call outs for the Army Bomb Disposal Team so far this year - 27 of which were viable bombs.
