225,000 passengers expected through Dublin Airport for Patrick's weekend
Passenger numbers at Dublin Airport are expected to increase this weekend as tourists arrive to celebrate St Patrick's Day.
An estimated 225,000 passengers will pass through the arrivals and departure gates over the bank holiday, up 6% on last year's figures.
Both terminals have been turned green for the occasion and passengers will be treated to traditional Irish music and dancing.
For any passengers travelling out of Ireland for the weekend, Paul O'Kane from the Dublin Airport Authority advised them to be at the airport about 90 minutes before departure to cater for the spike in numbers.
