PSNI thwart mortar bomb attack in Derry

Four mortar bombs were found when police thwarted a major attack by dissident republicans in Derry.

They were discovered in the back of a van which had part of its roof cut back as part of plans to bomb a police station in the city, a senior officer confirmed today.
