Insolvent individuals allowed to defer property tax

The Government is to allow those who enter a personal insolvency arrangement to defer payment of the property tax.

However, the move - to be announced later this morning - is not expected to find favour with the opposition, who will say it does not go far enough in dealing with those who simply cannot afford to pay.
