Finlay: Reform child benefit, but get it right this time

Children's charity Barnardos has said the Government must focus on protecting low and middle-income families while it considers the findings of an advisory group on how best to reform child benefit.

It follows reports that the expert group has recommended taxing child benefit as the best way to make savings in the social welfare bill.
