Two arrested at Maynooth pub

Two men have been arrested in Maynooth, Co Kildare, as part of an operation targeting burglaries.

The men, aged in their 20s and 30s, were detained in the early hours of yesterday morning after Gardaí responded to an intruder alarm at a pub in Beaufield.

The men who were wearing balaclavas and armed with crowbars were arrested at the scene.

They are currently being detained at Leixlip Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
