Man arrested in connection with murder of nightclub doorman

A man has been arrested in connection with the 2002 murder of a nightclub doorman.

Brian Fitzgerald was shot several times and died near his home at Brookhaven Walk, Mill Road, Corbally, Limerick, on November 29, 2002.

The arrested man, aged in his 30s, was detained in the city this morning.

He was taken in for questioning at Henry Street Garda station under section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939.

Two men have been convicted in connection with the doorman's murder.
