Two remanded in connection with Cavan cannabis seizure

Two Vietnamese men have been remanded in custody, charged in relation to a drugs seizure in Co Cavan.

Ba Tiep Nguyen (aged 29) and 25-year-old Hoang Minh Thong, both of no fixed abode, were arrested yesterday following the discovery of cannabis plants worth up to €700,000 during a raid on a warehouse near Virginia.

The two men were charged with cannabis cultivation at Ballyconnell District Court this morning.

They have been remanded in custody to appear at a sitting of Virginia Court on Friday.
