High Court approves Sean Dunne bankruptcy serving in US

The High Court has approved the serving of bankruptcy proceedings on developer Sean Dunne at his next Court appearance in the US.

The businessman, nicknamed the 'Baron of Ballsbridge', is living in America on a temporary visa.

Ulster Bank, which is owed €134m, applied for leave to serve bankruptcy proceedings on the developer during his appearance in court in Connecticut on Friday.

The Judge was told Mr Dunne still has property in Ireland and returns on a regular basis, but the bank has had difficulty in serving him with legal papers.
