Two held after Cavan cannabis seizure

Two men have been arrested in Cavan following the seizure of cannabis plants.

€700,000 worth of the drug was discovered by gardaí when they carried out a planned search of a warehouse on the outskirts of Virginia this morning.

The men - both in their 20s - were arrested at the scene and are being detained at Bailieboro garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

The scene has been preserved for a technical examination.
