Investigation into circumstances surrounding McGeever discovery continue

Gardaí are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the discovery of missing businessman Kevin McGeever in Co Leitrim on Tuesday night.

The property developer was discovered in a dishevelled state on the side of the road by a passer-by.

He is currently receiving treatment at the Midlands Regional Hospital in Mullingar.

Mr McGeever is understood to have told gardaí he was kidnapped and held north of the border for eight months.
