The Taoiseach has said that he hopes the Court of Criminal Appeal will deal quickly with the case of a man freed after being sentenced for raping his daughter.

The Taoiseach has said that he hopes the Court of Criminal Appeal will deal quickly with the case of a man freed after being sentenced for raping his daughter.

72-year-old Patrick O'Brien was jailed for twelve years - but nine were suspended - after admitting raping his daughter Fiona Doyle in the 70's and 80's.

Enda Kenny said he hopes the courage shown by Fiona Doyle would be recognised and that other victims would not lose faith to come forward:
