Three arrests following Clondalkin armed robbery
Gardaí in Dublin are investigating an armed robbery which took place in Clondalkin this morning.
Three men have been arrested.
At around 8am, three men, armed with an imitation firearm and knives entered a shop on the Tower Road in Clondalkin and threatened staff.
They stole a quantity of ciggarettes and cash and made their getaway on foot.
A short time later uniformed gardaí arrested the three men and recovered the imitation firearm, two knives, along with all of the cash and ciggarettes which were stolen from the shop.
A car, which is believed to have been stolen earlier in the Lucan area, was also located.
The men, who are all aged in their 20s, are currently detained under section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, at Clondalkin Garda Station.
