PSNI hunt gang after man assaulted in Belfast

Police are hunting a gang of five who assaulted a 20-year-old man in north Belfast.

The attack happened some time between 11pm and 11.30pm on December 26, however details were only disclosed today.

A PSNI spokesman said five people, one of whom was reported to have a gun, got out of a Mitsubishi 4x4 before targeting the victim at Silverstream Road.

The man’s injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
